Developmental Services - Training & Leisure Centre

The goal of our Developmental Services - Training & Leisure Centre, located at 118 Gorrie Street in downtown Atikokan, is to provide adults with a developmental disability, the choice to participate in competitive employment within the community, or within the program operated business 'Chips R Us'. The Training and Leisure Centre and its staff also provide an alternative to employment with daytime leisure and learning activities for those individuals that chose. The Supported Employment component of the Training and Leisure Centre provides individualized support and training at the job site. The eventual goal is the withdrawal of support, so that the individual can enjoy employment independently and be an integral part of the community.
